Suppliers of grp resins can supply flat roof installers with cheap “re-blended” resins that cost a fraction of the price of an approved certified resin.
The re-blended resins are a left over resin from tanks that have been mixed with other resins, thus creating a mixed batch of resin that gets blended together. The re-blends can be of mixed quality and also may have impurities that have built up in the bottom of the tanks. These resins can have longer variable curing times and most importantly unknown life expectancy.
